Diesel Boat Working Bee

A big thank you to the team of people, young and old,  who came down and gave time on their Sunday morning to do a Spring clean in Autum on the DSC1 and the Arvor. 

Both boats were empied of all the paraphenailia that had accumulated over the years, they were scrubbed down and water blasted to remove built up grime and then only the essentials put back on the boats. 

A checklist of further jobs has been created and these items will be ticked off in the coming weeks.

Svetlana, Wrecker, Ivan, Serge and Denise addressed big source of frustration for the Start crews - the flags. All three starters flag rolls have been double checked, flags retrieved from all sorts of nooks and cranies and returned to their pockets in the flag rolls - again a big thank to a job that will make our volunteers life easier.

As a bonus with the number of members attending, the RIBs (DSC3, 4 & 7) plus the two tiller steers (DSC6 & 8) also got evaluated against the support boat checklist and scubbed and water blasted clean.

The shed even got a much needed sweep out.
